The lens focuses on how high school athletes can be better prepared for college by having a mentor that will help the athlete maintain focus on his or her athletic goals. Also it is important for the athlete to learn how to balance his life between athletics, education, and social aspects of his life. It is important for the individual to have set, weekly goals to drive themselves toward their goal of earning a scholarship.
“The Lady Survivors’ mission is to promote and support competitive basketball among young women from the state of Colorado, while enhancing their skills in a positive environment. Equally important, The Lady Survivors’ travel organization encourages great sportsmanship through friendly relationships among female basketball players, coaches, referees, and parents throughout the country; providing the necessary exposure an athlete needs to be recruited and enabling continued education and participation in the sport our players love.”
